Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 1 March 2025
We want this site, and every site we build, to be usable by as many people as possible — regardless of ability or device.
What we aim for
This site is built and tested against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That covers colour contrast, keyboard-only navigation, semantic HTML structure, descriptive link text, labelled form fields, and clearly visible focus states.
What's in place
- A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users.
- Visible focus rings on every interactive element.
- Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a logical heading order.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images marked as such.
- Form fields with associated labels and clear error states.
- Respect for the operating-system "reduce motion" preference — animations are minimised when set.
- Colour contrast that meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 (text) and 3:1 (large text / UI) thresholds.
What we test
Every page is tested with keyboard-only navigation and a screen reader before release. We also check contrast and the prefers-reduced-motion setting.
Known limitations
Some embedded third-party content (for example, the Stripe payment form or video players) is delivered by external providers and may not fully match our standards. Where possible, we provide alternatives or fallbacks.
